Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take?
This is dependent on your needs and is something that we will discuss together. Short-term or brief work can be between 6 – 12 sessions Counselling can also be a long-term process and ongoing, so as many sessions as you feel you need.
How long are the sessions?
The initial session is a complementary 20-minute online appointment via Zoom, in which we can briefly discuss what brings you to counselling, I can answer any questions that you may have and also check that you would feel comfortable working with me.
Following this we would meet, in person or online, for a 50-minute session, generally weekly.
Fees and Payment
The fee for each50-minute session is £55 for adults and children and £70 for couples.
Payment for the session must be made in advance via BACS.
If you need to cancel your appointment, I do require 48 hours’ notice please, otherwise you will be liable for the full payment of the session. Whilst I appreciate that things happen and illness befalls us, when I book an appointment for you, I have saved this time for you which I can not offer to someone else.
How are online sessions conducted?
Online sessions are conducted from your home or workspace via your computer or tablet, it is also possible via mobile phone. I use the online platform Zoom for the sessions. We would agree on an appointment day or time, and I would send you a link, via email, for each session. Further information and guidance is provided should you decide to work online.
